About Us
Dive into a coffee experience where every sip tells a story. "Kahawa," meaning coffee in Swahili, roots us in Kenya's vibrant coffee culture. As an integral part of the climate and racial justice non profit 80 Acres, Kahawa Cafe isn't just a cafe - it's a movement.

Our logo speaks to the past and the progress.
When slaves were freed in the United States, they were offered 40 acres and a mule. Today, we work to double those reparations through investment in the Amherst community. Our parent organization is 80 Acres and our logo has two mules, to speak to the progress in our vision.

Embrace our eco-friendly ethos by bringing your own mug and joining us in saying no to disposable cups. With each visit, you contribute to sustainable livelihoods for Kenyan farmers and help us promote fair trade practices.
Join us at Kahawa Cafe, where coffee does more than energize - it inspires and transforms. Thank you for being part of our journey toward a greener, more connected world.
